Suneal Ram Kissun
Head of Community Engagement & Business Growth, Multicultural Apprenticeship and Skills Alliance
I build relationships that create real opportunities for underrepresented and marginalised talent through apprenticeship pathways. I have worked in the skills ecosystem more than two decades.
Involved with the Multicultural Apprenticeship Awards since its inception in 2015 – formerly as Head Judge and was part of the judging panel and a former brand ambassador. My focus: dismantling barriers to sustainable work, championing social mobility, and doing the right thing. Apprenticeship pathways and skills training change lives – I’ve seen it happen.
Previously held senior roles with for several organisations which include awarding organisation, a university and past involvement with trade association representing independent providers – AELP. Currently I’m a board trustee/session volunteer for a local food charity in mid Sussex, helping families and individuals experiencing food poverty, tackling food waste, and reducing local landfill.
My strengths/superpowers? A humble cook, connecting people through food, building robust partnerships and friendships, a love of star trek, promoting social mobility, and creating sustainable growth that actually matters!
