The Apprenticeship Guide Awards 2024 will take place in Manchester

The Apprenticeship Guide Awards ceremony is a black-tie event that includes a welcome reception, three-course meal and the awards ceremony.

It all takes place overlooking the Manchester metropolis, at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate hotel in the heart of the city centre.

Host: Lucy Porter

Lucy Porter is a comedian, actress, and podcast host with a strong following and a track record of sell-out Edinburgh shows.

A finalist on Channel 4’s So You Think You’re Funny?, Lucy is a regular on Radio 4 panel and comedy shows, and has also appeared a number of times on Have I Got News For You and Mock the Week. She has also appeared on Newsnight, The Culture Show, and Richard Osman’s House of Game.

Lucy is a skilled quizzer: she has won Celebrity Mastermind and The Chase.  Lucy also presents the quizzing podcast Fingers on Buzzers alongside The Chase‘s Jenny Ryan.

Hipster bring their unique blend of classic rock, pop and indie for the very best entertainment.

Formed in 2000, the foursome have performed well over a thousand times together across the UK, and internationally.

They’ve even played for Prince Harry!

What is the dress code?

Black tie and formalwear.

What time do the awards begin?

The evening will kick off with a welcome drinks reception at 7.00pm.

What is the structure of the evening?

The evening begins with a welcome reception. Dinner follows, with the awards ceremony and then entertainment to end the evening.

Is there a set menu?

Yes, across three courses. But individual dietary requirements are catered for. Let us know when you book your tickets / confirm who will be attending.

I haven’t received my ticket yet, when will I get it?

The Apprenticeship Guide Awards is a ticketless event. You have seats allocated for you and your party; simply find them on the table plan and take your seats.

How do I get to the venue?

The Hilton offers limited valet parking at £25.00. Alternatively guests can park at the multi-storey Q-Park First Street, approximately six minutes away.

For those taking public transport, Hilton Manchester Deansgate is approximately three minutes on foot from Deansgate train station.
